A young couple braces for a visit from a decorated veteran whose fragile mental state cannot withstand stress. Tea, small talk, and travel stories take a sharp turn when everyday noises trigger violent flashbacks and dissociation. A therapist is called and delivers one strict instruction: do not interfere, no matter what happens. Caretaking crosses boundaries. Boundaries collapse entirely.
